Lone is a very talented guitar player and teacher. He has taught me for a combined 3-year period. I have learned so much during our time together and each lesson is different and fun. I especially enjoy challenging him to different songs or genres that he may have not heard before. Within a minute or two, he can write a chord progression/solo that is either identical to the song or is based around my skill level. When Lone was away for a couple of years, I went to another teacher and it was evident that Lone's teaching ability is a difference maker for students that crave success as a guitar player.

We tried a few teachers who said they worked well with children but were not a good fit. Lone was what we needed! He is patient and a good listener but not lenient. Our 8 year old is off to a great start. We liked Lone so much, I decided to start lessons with him too.

Hi Lone, wanna share with you my proud moment and thank you for being such a good teacher to my kids. You taught my kids so well even after you left for Canada, I didn't find a replacement music teacher for them, but they keep on practicing what you last taught them. Brandon participated in his school competition today, GRC got talent and won! I didn't expect him to win but not only he won but the CHAMPION (the highest score among all). I am so proud of him. I must thank you for your great teaching, where can I find another music teacher as great as you who made learning music so fun. We miss you!

Lone is really a gifted teacher. I’m more of an advanced student myself having gone to music school long ago and having played bass guitar for many years. I’ve had many teachers and he ranks up there with the best. His lessons are always interesting, valuable and fun. It’s his passion for music and teaching that comes through.I know from our discussions that he’s just as great with beginning students. He does what a great educator should do: he inspires!

Not only does Lone have a great command and understanding of guitar as an instrument from a technical perspective, he’s able to inspire the student to push beyond their capabilities and progress. He makes it fun!

Thanks Lone!!!!

I know Lone from his days in Calgary. We met through a group called Camjam. Since then we have become good friends. One thing about Lone is you get what you see. He is a straight up guy. I have never seen him in a bad mood. He is always happy and always smiling. This carries over with his music and you see it when he plays his guitar. I have known him to step up for the kids he teaches when the music school he was at closed its doors and he took on the kids to fulfill their lessons. I am the founder and President of The Barry Penny Foundation. We gift instruments and lessons to under privileged kids here in Calgary. Lone was always there for us with his music and his teaching. You wont find a better person to learn how to play an instrument from.

I was his student back in college. He used to make me do scaling drills till I puke pentatonically. No I'm kidding. When I found out that he was in a band I asked him to teach me. But I asked him "teach me how to play songs" cos chord names makes no sense to me. So he did. He taught me the most important of all chords. The POWERCHORDS! We used to jam a lot and the more we jam, the more I learn. Music schools have syllabuses, structures and exams. But Lone have jams. And that's why I still love to play till today.

Other than Joe Satriani and Lone, I don't think I've ever seen anyone else play the keyboard solo of Highway Star on guitar and pulling it off on the dot! Well done! One of the best guitarist I've ever known! Keep up the good work!

Never met a musician as passionate as Lone! His love for music and people makes him an excellent 'music guru'. Ps, he plays the base, drums and keyboard too!
